Who We Are
Meet our lead trainer Monica Pineda, LPC who turns mindset reps into workouts! Monica brings 14 years of professional counseling and evidence based practices into a structured 30 minute workout called Avance - designed to help you find your way back to yourself when your inside world is a little or a lot “off.”
Avance provides individuals with guided space and time to practice the tools that science has already spoken for in managing the most common human experiences - stress, depression, and anxiety. Avance strategically incorporates mindful and meditative practices, introspective exercises, Mindful Based Cognitive Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

What’s one key takeaway or insight you gained from your workout?
“I've noticed when I'm having negative thoughts or distorted thinking, I'm becoming more aware of when it's occurring. When I'm feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or any other disturbing emotions, I can ask myself, "what does my body need right now". It's that element of self care that I really have neglected most of the time (sleep, food, water, entertainment, a break, movement).”

Who is an Avancer?
An Avancer is anyone who participates in Avance at any point in their journey.
Avancers tend to seek awareness for growth. They look for spaces where they can destress, listen to themselves, and stay true to their needs. A mental health workout helps Avancers reset. Avancers drop-in as needed, or join one of our monthly options for the repetition and reinforcement of each workout.
Avancers can join anonymously, virtually (keeping audio and video off), allowing them to experience the workout fully and freely.
